Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety Can Hold Us Back
Anxiety can have a huge impact on our ability to enjoy life. Constant worrying and ruminating can interrupt our careers, our relationships, and prevent us from achieving our personal ambitions.
Everybody experiences anxiety to some degree. In fact, it is an important human response that can protect us from harm and motivate us toward positive change. However, often anxiety can exacerbate fear, self-doubt, and interfere with our relationships, health, and daily lives.
Unfortunately, society is rife with stressors that either contribute to or cause anxiety. Our highly competitive work environments, difficult life transitions, challenging relationships, divisive political environments, and constant comparison to others are all powerful forces that impact our well-being.
Anxiety Can Be Debilitating, But It Is Highly Treatable
It is possible for you to create a life where you are happier. The process begins with a safe space in which you can feel accepted and heard. As we begin the journey of discovery together, you will be offered new perspectives, strategies and tools that will give you more agency over your life and help you move through this world with greater ease, resilience, and peace of mind. The ultimate goal of working with an anxiety therapist is for you to feel more confident, and empowered to make the positive changes you want in your life.
My Treatment Philosophy And Approach
I believe that the greatest facilitator of the healing process is creating a warm, safe, and supportive relationship with each individual. Simultaneously, I understand the importance and benefit of putting people in control of their own healing, so I like to challenge my clients in ways that come from a place of empathy and hope. I also encourage compassionate self-acceptance—a kindness toward the self that promotes sustainable change.
Whether our counseling sessions focus on panic attacks, social anxiety, or any other anxiety-related disorder, treatment has to be flexible, yielding to the needs of each person’s unique experience. That’s why I draw from the following toolbox of interventions to create a comprehensive approach to treating anxiety. That means offering you long-term healing as well as strategies and skills for coping with anxiety day to day.
Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Somatic Experiencing (SE)

Counseling can change your experience with anxiety
Whatever you are going through, no matter how seemingly mild or severe, anxiety treatment can help you live with greater joy and balance. Together, we’ll find the path that leads you to profound healing and growth. My job as an anxiety specialist is to sweep away the leaves from your path so that you can have the clarity to choose the direction you want to take in your life.
If you are considering anxiety therapy but still have some questions…
I don’t have enough time to commit to anxiety treatment.
How much time do you spend worrying and thinking about situations you can’t control? Yes, anxiety counseling involves a commitment, but it is the best investment you can make. Our work together can have a deep, enriching impact on the long-term quality of your health and happiness.
I’m concerned about the stigma attached to mental illness
Much of the stigma that surrounds mental health is driven by fear and a lack of understanding. The truth is that asking for help is a sign of emotional strength and innate wisdom, which are traits to be valued. In fact, it provides a powerful starting point for anxiety therapy.
So whatever you are going through, it is okay to reach out. By listening to yourself and ignoring the perceived negativity, you’ll be safeguarding your emotional, psychological, and physical health in incredible ways.
I’m skeptical about whether anxiety treatment really works.
Working with an anxiety counselor offers you the opportunity to speak freely about your experiences with someone who can listen objectively, provide clarity, and share with you tangible ways of changing your life for the better. I know from both personal and professional experience that anxiety therapy works. It’s changed my life in countless ways, and I believe that with my guidance, anxiety counseling can help you transform how you navigate the world.
